Galatasaray winger Bruma has spoken to the media after his side’s game against Akhisar Belediyespor at the weekend.
The 22-year old winger has been the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur according to the Turkish media, but it seems the Premier League side’s interest has cooled at least until the summer.
Bruma spoke to LigTv after the game and he was of course asked about a potential transfer.
Bruma said: “I’m very happy at Galatasaray at the moment. I’ve totally committed myself to Galatasaray. Of course it’s flattering when you receive transfer offers but it has to be a right one for both the club and me. As I’ve said before I’m fully committed to Galatasaray and these reports will have no effect on me.”
According to recent reports in Turkey, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has been keen to sign Bruma in this window after claims saying Galatasaray had rejected Tottenham’s offer of €15m.
At the time it was revealed the Turkish giants were looking for offers in the region of €20m, but the asking price has changed more than once.
We spoke to Bruma’s agent earlier in in this window, and he confirmed the player would be interested in a move to the Premier League:
“He wants to play in the Premier League and he’s sure he’ll be bought.”
Bruma’s contract will expire in 18 months, and the Galatasaray board are trying to tie him down to a long-term deal. However, the two parties are struggling to come to an agreement because of Bruma’s wage demands.
If no renewal is sign and Tottenham interest is genuine and remains, then Pochettino will have a good chance of getting his man in the summer window.
