Ernest Muçi joined Beşiktaş in the winter market and his performances in recent months have caught Aston Villa’s attention.
The attacking midfielder has scored four goals from 15 games for the Turkish club and their president, Hasan Arat, has already rejected a €20m bid for him, which was believed to have been made by the Villans.
Earlier this month, Fanatik reported Unai Emery had given his approval for Aston Villa to try to sign the 23-year-old in the summer window.
Cumhuriyet now state several European clubs are following Muçi closely but only Aston Villa are mentioned.
Despite rejecting a bid earlier, the Istanbul club’s president prefers to focus on players who can help Beşiktaş make profit through their sales.
The Albania international fits into this category and the report states the Black Eagles’ management have kept the player’s starting price at €20m.
According to Cumhuriyet, the teams interested in Muçi have ‘started to contact’ Beşiktaş over a possible deal and this includes the Premier League side.
It’s further stated Aston Villa are ‘preparing to make an offer’ for Muçi in the next window. There’s no mention whether the Albanian is open to changing clubs, months after joining Beşiktaş from Legia Warsaw.
