Bertrand Traore returned to England on Monday having spent time with the Burkina Faso national side.
The exact reasoning for the Aston Villa player returning, when he could either be away with his country or enjoying his summer time off, wasn’t made clear at the time.
Foot Mercato explain Traore, Aston Villa and Burkina Faso came to an agreement to allow the player to travel cut his time with the national team short, so he could go under the knife.
According to the claims from Foot Mercato, Traore has had an operation on a groin issue which has been an irritant for a while. It’s stated the player had been feeling pain since January, hence the need to sort everything out.
The groin operation was carried out successfully at a Manchester clinic on June 14th, according to the report from France, and the player will now rest for a week before being able to start his recovery in July.
