Carney Chukwuemeka has spent this summer being linked with nearly every big club in Europe.
It’s been clear that someone has been pushing the 18-year-old out to the market, in the hope of finding him a new club. Agents have clearly been at work and some of the claims have looked like they’ve been designed to create hype.
For example, when it was reported that Borussia Dortmund had agreed a deal with the youngster, the media closest to the Bundesliga club quickly said it was complete nonsense.
AC Milan have been the club linked most over the past week, and these claims seem stronger than some of the ones which have gone before them.
Monday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Aston Villa player has ‘already given his first yes’ to the move. Milan are said to be keen and it’s insisted they rate the player very highly.
There’s a belief the Rossoneri will have to battle with PSG and Barcelona for the signing, yet that could be more agent games.
Gazzetta give no indication of what Milan would be hoping to pay to make a deal happen.
