Mundo Deportivo report Luis Suarez wants to make a quick decision on his future, with multiple clubs coming forward for the player.
The Uruguayan’s contract with Atletico Madrid expires at the end of this month, and he’s free to choose his next destination.
Aston Villa have been repeatedly linked for over a month, largely given manager Steven Gerrard played with Suarez at Liverpool. Mundo Deportivo say Aston Villa have ‘knocked on his door’, and are one of the clubs waiting for an answer from the former Barcelona player.
Joining the Birmingham side are clubs including Ajax, Fiorentina, Atalanta and Galatasaray. There’s MLS interest, along with clubs from South America, should Suarez be tempted to return closer to home.
According to the report, the 35-year-old wants to secure his next destination over the next week or so. He’d then be able to start preseason training with a European club, after he finishes his holidays.
There’s no apparent desire for the veteran to use his free agent status to enjoy a longer break this summer.
