Aston Villa keen on young winger – ‘Very important offer’ expected from PL side, transfer expected

Aston Villa are interested in Hellas Verona winger Cyril Ngonge, according to claims from Italy.

This chase is today revealed by TuttoMercatoWeb, who claim that the 23-year-old’s departure from the Serie A side is a ‘very likely scenario’.

The outlet explains that a ‘very important offer’ from a Premier League club is expected. They don’t know which side will place that, but it’s said Aston Villa have been watching Ngonge.

Hellas Verona’s valuation is said to be between €10m and €15m, which is deemed as ‘not impossible’ for English clubs. The Serie A side are going through a difficult financial time and an ‘interesting offer’ would be enough to take him in January.

The Italian club didn’t spend anything to sign him from Dutch side FC Groningen back in January, and since his arrival he’s had nine goals and three assists in 32 appearances.
