For over a month, Juventus have been trying to work out what to do with Moise Kean.
The forward is a season into a two year loan from Everton, and at the end of the loan the Turin club have to buy him outright if they qualify for the Champions League. With that considered near certain, it’s seen as a permanent transfer.
Unfortunately, Juventus don’t want him around next season so there’s been talk of them buying Kean from Everton this summer and then selling him on, or using the player in a deal to sign someone else.
That’s where Aston Villa come in.
Italian journalist Marcello Chirico, who is an editor at Juventus focused Il Bianconero, says Aston Villa ‘are interested’ in Kean. He goes on to say the Italian could be used as a ‘counterpart’ in a move for Douglas Luiz, so a swap deal.
That may well be an idea which works out for the Serie A side, but it doesn’t seem great for Steven Gerrard or Aston Villa.
Moise Kean himself may not fancy a move to Aston Villa either, especially after his difficulties at Everton.
