Douglas Luiz has had a disappointing time since leaving Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.
He’s failed to establish himself as a regular at Juventus, playing only 795 minutes in all competitions. The Brazilian is currently injured and expected to return later in the month
That injury came just when he was starting to be respected a bit more, showing that nothing has gone right for him in Turin.
A host of Premier League clubs were interested in the Brazilian in the winter transfer window, and there is now an indication that Aston Villa are also a potential suitor.
Calciomercato.it have reported that the Birmingham club would be interested in taking the 26-year-old back to Villa Park in the summer transfer window.
Douglas Luiz himself would be keen on returning to the Premier League, where he scored 20 goals and assisted 18 times at Aston Villa.
Manchester City also have a liking for the Brazil international but as of now, Juventus want a fee of €40m to sell the player. That is because the Old Lady do not want to record a capital loss on their accounts.
Surely if Aston Villa are keen they’d want to pay less than that, which would perhaps be possible with an initial loan.
