Hull City have a deadline for any club interested in signing their star forward Abel Hernandez. Aston Villa have been linked with the Uruguayan international, but they will have to move quickly if they want to sign the player in this window.
TMW have today revealed Hernandez could still leave Hull City in this transfer window even though he’s set for renewal talks with the club next month. Hull City play Manchester United on Saturday evening, which will be their last game before the international break.
Any possible move for the South American therefore needs to be done in the coming days before he joins up with Uruguay next week for their games against Argentina and Paraguay.
Aston Villa now have until Friday to make an offer for Hernandez, but at this stage it seems unlikely a deal be done.
Whatever happens this week could have a bearing on the future of Hernandez at Hull City, and also when he returns from international duty as a decision needs to made if he will commit to the Premier League side.
Hull don’t want to sell, and the international break, and Friday deadline, should help in that regard.
