Easah Suliman is leaving Aston Villa on a permanent transfer, according to claims coming from Portugal today.
The 21 year old year travelled to Portugal on Monday, reports Record, and his new club will be Vitória Guimarães. Having previously gone out on loan to Cheltenham Town, Grimsby, and Dutch club FC Emmen, Suliman is now leaving Aston Villa for good.
He’ll sign a contract with the Liga Nos side lasting until June 2024, and it will lead to Vitória Guimarães sending away a defender themselves, which suggests Suliman will play a meaningful role for the club.
Despite that, Guimarães Sport reports the young footballer is seen as someone for the present and future, with Portuguese clubs knowing there’s potentially a lot of profit in signing English talents and then planning to sell them on in the years to come.
There’s no indication over any transfer fee payable to Aston Villa, and it’s possible the Premier League club are letting him go for free, perhaps in exchange for a percentage of a future transfer.
