German newspaper Bild are fretting a little on behalf of RB Leipzig. The club are having a wonderful season, currently 2nd in the Bundesliga, 6 points ahead of the much heralded Thomas Tuchel at Borussia Dortmund.

With success comes attention, and one of Leipzig’s best players this season has been Naby Keita. Joining last summer from sister club Red Bull Salzburg, Keita has been a midfield revelation.

Bild are worried that in recent comments the player hasn’t sounded completely committed to his current club. Arsenal, PSG, and Bayern Munich are all said to be interested, with Bild saying Arsene Wenger spoke to Keita last summer.

The 22 year old is quoted as saying: “I am here now and feel very comfortable. There are still three games, that’s what I concentrate on. My consultant takes care of everything else. When it’s time, I’ll discuss it with him and my family.”

Those are the comments which have spooked Bild, and brought Arsenal into the equation.

Keita is said to have a release clause, but it’s not applicable until next summer. Arsenal are likely to be keeping an eye on the situation, with the level of interest depending on Wenger’s midfield plans.
