Bild are taking the prospect of Arsene Wenger to Bayern Munich seriously.
Niko Kovac is clinging on as manager of the German club, but with them currently fifth in the Bundesliga and dropping nine points behind Borussia Dortmund, his future looks bleak.
Kovac has struggled to deal with the big personalities and senior players within the Bayern squad, and FC Hollywood have recently been living up to one of their more negative nicknames.
Wenger left Arsenal in the summer after more than 20 years with the Premier League club, and he’s been in no huge rush to dive straight into another job. However, he’s always made it very clear that he doesn’t see the Gunners as his last job in football.
Around a month ago, Wenger told SportBild that he sees himself returning from January.
Bild make it clear that a move to the German club is being taken seriously: ‘A name is increasingly used internally by Bayern: Arsene Wenger.’
The Frenchman is from the Alsace region of his country, close to the German border, and speaks the language perfectly.
Bild also believe Wenger is good at working with stars, which is key, and say he demonstrated that at Arsenal, with the likes of ‘Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires, Jens Lehmann and Mesut Ozil.’
