With his contract at Fiorentina expiring in 2023, Dusan Vlahovic is living a peculiar situation in the transfer market.
Even though his form in Serie A has been gathering the attention from several European sides, his price tag ‘continues to drop’, with La Viola afraid of losing him for free at the end of his deal.
Now as clubs such as Arsenal watch the striker’s situation, newspaper La Repubblica today features a story which details the scenario for his signing, pointing out Vlahovic still won’t be cheap.
Their story (via Firenze Viola) says that regardless of the discount Fiorentina could make in his transfer, the interested clubs will have to spend big anyway, and that’s because of his agent Darko Ristic.
Taking advantage of the situation, the official is now said to be demanding €10m in commissions to whoever comes to sign the striker next year.
The report points Arsenal ‘tried to do it in very difficult times’, as the Gunners will need convincing arguments to attract a player who’s wanted by big European sides.
It’s said ‘certainly some top clubs will come back to knock for the striker’, and as Vlahovic doesn’t agree to sign a new deal with Fiorentina, it’s his agent who’ll win with a big move.
