Two months ago, journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reported Arsenal scout Romain Poirot had watched Ferdi Kadıoğlu and provided a positive report about the Fenerbahçe player.
Fast forward to January and Sabah provide the latest on the Premier League club’s plans for the left-back.
Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko has been sidelined with a calf problem since last week.
This has seen them take action for Kadıoğlu and the report states the Gunners will go to Istanbul ‘next week’, to carry out a potential deal.
Fenerbahçe don’t intend to part ways with Kadıoğlu in January and are considering selling him after this season. His current valuation is set at €20m but the outlet states the Yellow Canaries will not accept any offer less than €30m.
The Istanbul club will hold talks with the fullback in private and convince him to continue at the club until the end of the season. Kadıoğlu doesn’t want to let Fenerbahçe down and this would indicate he won’t force a move in the winter market.
Arsenal will have to be convincing with their proposal and project, if they wish to bring the defender to the Emirates this month.
