Bukayo Saka’s two goal showing in England’s 6-2 win over Iran should have Real Madrid knocking at his door.
That’s according to Spanish broadcaster Ramón Álvarez de Mon, who believes the Arsenal and England star could be an ‘interesting’ option for the Spanish giants to look at in the coming months.
Saka was the undisputed star of the show in England’s opening day win at the World Cup yesterday, bagging two superb goals in the rout.
It was a continuation of his fine form for the Gunners this season, having scored four and registered six in 14 games in the Premier League this season.
He is now very much a key part of Mikel Arteta’s squad and Arsenal are now working hard to extend his contract as a result, with his current contract set to expire in 2024.
Getting that deal done in the coming months is very much a priority for them as big clubs around Europe are sure to be noticing his performances.
“The two players I particularly wanted to see were Jude Bellingham, a Real Madrid target, and Bukayo Saka,” Mundo Deportivo report him saying.
“The latter, as far as I know, is not a Real Madrid target, but he could be in the future because he has very good conditions and perfectly matches what Real Madrid need at the moment.
“The young English player is 21 years old and plays on the right and could offer an opportunity in the future.
“Arsenal are going crazy trying to renew him because he finishes in 2024 and the next one, if he doesn’t renew, Arsenal would be in a precarious situation.
“The next few months are going to generate a situation that could be solved for Arsenal, or complicated.
“I think that’s where Real Madrid would have to come in, with only one year left on his contract, because it’s part of the club’s transfer policy. There are several reasons to think that it could be interesting for the future.”
