According to a claim in the Italian media, Juventus are closing in on Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere after making contact with the player’s agent.
The England international will be out of contract at the end of this month with the Premier League side.
TMW have reported Juventus are ‘accelerating’ in their attempts to sign the Arsenal star, as they also look to tie up a deal for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can.
It’s claimed Juventus have made it clear they’re willing to offer Wilshere a four year contract and that he could earn €4.5m a season with the Serie A champions.
Recently installed Arsenal manager Unai Emery is said to be keen to keep hold of Wilshere, but with just weeks left before his contract expires it isn’t looking good for the London club.
With the possibility of bringing in Can and Wilshere on free transfers it seems like good business for the Italian giants early into this transfer window. That said, these claims seems to pop up repeatedly and then disappear, so it’ll be interesting to see if this one goes anywhere.
