According to a claim in the Belgian media both Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United are ‘closely following’ Standard Liege attacker Edmilson Junior.

The 23 year old has been impressive form in recent months for the Belgian side, which has brought him to the attention of other clubs, including Wolves and West Ham.

DH.be report Standard Liege coach Michel Preud’homme is keen to keep Edmilson at the club for another season and the player has been offered an improved contract.

The young midfielder impressed in the recent Belgian playoffs, scoring seven goals in Standard Liege’s ten games.

It’s claimed despite the interest from Wolves and West Ham Standard Liege have yet to receive any offers, but there are suggestions the player would be more interested in a move to Italy.

Fiorentina, Genoa and Sassuolo are all said to be monitoring Edmilson and a move to Serie A is a strong possibility this summer.

Premier League new boys Fulham are also reported to be interested in the wide man.
