With Aaron Ramsey’s departure from Arsenal getting closer, it’s no surprise that Unai Emery will go after a replacement for the midfield position.
This man would be Ever Banega, according to Spanish outlet Estádio Deportivo. The outlet says the manager wants to work with the Argentine player once again, and would try to bring him to the Emirates.
Estádio Deportivo writes that people at Sevilla aren’t really worried about Arsenal’s approach, but another report in the local press makes the story more interesting.
There’s no sign that the trip has something to do with a move to Arsenal, but the agent’s presence in the English capital is enough to make the story bigger.
Banega is currently protected by a €20m release clause at Sevilla, and it’s still not known if the Gunners would spend that much, although it clearly doesn’t sound like a lot for such a big club.
