The rumours surrounding Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic may have gone quieter in the past few weeks, but we shouldn’t forget that Premier League sides have been said to be chasing him.
Not long ago, reports from Italy said Arsenal have ‘high interest’ in signing the centre-forward, as they’re ‘willing to pay’ and get the transfer done soon.
It turns out that, as Bianconera News today features some quotes from Niccolo Ceccarini on Radio Bianconera, it’s made clear that Arsenal would need a big chunk of money to complete that signing.
While Juventus aren’t actively looking to sell Vlahovic midway through the season, it’s made clear that should the right offer come along, they already have a replacement lined up.
“I don’t think Vlahovic will move in January unless a very high level offer arrives at the club, for example if Arsenal come and put €100m on the table, Juve have the money to immediately take David and sell Vlahovic, but it is clear that this is a very unlikely operation.”
Vlahovic has five goals and one assist in 11 appearances for Juventus this season, and struggles to convince him that he should be the number one striker in the team.
That’s what makes him a negotiable asset for the Old Lady, although Arsenal and others will need to show up with attractive offers to get a deal done.
