Ousmane Dembele to Arsenal is something Don Balon just love pushing.
It’s claimed this time that Arsene Wenger’s club have the ‘strongest bid’ to sign Dembele in the summer, and the player himself is keen because it would allow him to team up with his friend Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The pair played together, and linked up well, at Borussia Dortmund, and it’s open knowledge they’ve kept in touch since both moved on from the Bundesliga club.
Barcelona paid €100m+ for the player but it hasn’t turned out perfectly, and a loan move has been suggested, but Don Balon say Dembele wants a permanent move if he doesn’t feel he’s going to get more prominence where he is.
Of course, Don Balon aren’t hitting the heights of reliability, but a Dembele exit perhaps isn’t unthinkable.
It’s stated Barcelona believe the signing was somewhat ‘hasty’, and that’s believable. Should Antoine Girezmann arrive in the summer, then Dembele’s situation would only become more difficult.
This isn’t a scenario which is incredibly hard to buy into, and it’s stated Arsenal would see Dembele as part of a ‘new project’, pushing the club ahead.
Putting Don Balon and all their craziness to one side, we just can’t help be at least a little intrigued by this possibility.
