Martin Odegaard has returned to action for Arsenal and featured for the club against Chelsea and Inter Milan.
His return is a relief for the Gunners, who have struggled for consistency in attack in the Norwegian’s absence.
Before he marked his return in the game against Inter, there were question marks about whether Odegaard will play for Norway during the international break or not, especially as he was excluded from the initial squad some days ago.
There was an insistence that he could be called up anyway and Norway boss Stale Solbakken has now confirmed that the attacking midfielder will be called up to the squad.
Solbakken has told VG that the Arsenal star will join the side but the outlet are unclear whether he will play against Slovenia and Kazakhstan or not.
The national team boss told the outlet: “We’ll see how it turns out. The ankle, the medics and Martin decide this.”
That news will be a little concerning for Arsenal fans, who have just seen the player come back to fitness and won’t want him to pick up more issues.
Odegaard had picked up his most recent injury during international duty and ideally, they would want to avoid that possibility completely. Keeping him at the club and wrapped in cottonwool.
