Arsenal have shown ‘concrete interest’ in Bayern Munich youngster Angelo Stiller after his impressive performances for FC Bayern II.
That’s according to SportBild, who report the youngster is pushing his way towards Bayern’s first team despite only being an ‘integral part’ of Bayern II since January.
As yet he has not broken into the circle of up and coming players who are allowed to train with the first team, but his ‘astonishing’ performances have put him firmly into focus.
In just eight games with Bayern’s second team, the youngster has shone, particularly in the U19 Champions League where he was top of the assists charts with six assists in six games.
His performances have not gone unnoticed by Bayern, but there is interest from outside of the club, namely Arsenal, who have shown ‘concrete interest’ in the 19-year-old.
Their scouts were ‘particularly enthusiastic’ about those Champions League performances, and thus he is now ‘on their radar’.
One plus point is that the highly-rated youngster only has a contract until next summer, meaning he could be available this year if he’s not tied down.
Bild explain that his long-term goal is to establish himself in Bayern’s first time, but he wants first-team football ‘as soon as possible’.
Arsenal are seemingly willing to offer it, and the newspaper says one ‘possibility’ is that he leaves this summer, but Bayern insert a buy-back option on him for the future.
