On November 16th, we carried a report from Estadio Deportivo, who claimed that Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno’s priority is his family and his first choice is to rejoin Sevilla.
His current deal at Anfield runs down at the end of the season and so far he’s not seemed close to signing an extension.
Another Spanish outlet El Gol Digital has an update on the Reds player and they claim it is ‘granted’ he will not stay with his current employer before next summer.
This gives an opportunity for other clubs in making an approach for the Spaniard on a free transfer and the report mentions that he will be a bargain for his future club.
From England, Arsenal’s name is mentioned and it’s claimed the Gunners have shown interest in the 26-year-old, but it’s also claimed Moreno is not thinking about joining the north London club because he has set his sights on returning to Spain.
Had he made a switch to the Emirates, he could have been a successor to Nacho Monreal at Arsenal.
El Gol Digital mentions Moreno has no intention of rejoining his former club to sit on the bench and if he’s led to believe that would be the case, he’ll consider an offer from Atletico Madrid.
