Last Friday, Sport Mediaset reported Arsenal are the ‘most interested club of all’ to sign Victor Osimhen.
The striker has been repeatedly linked to Premier League sides, with the Gunners, Manchester United and Newcastle United named as his suitors.
Corriere dello Sport mention Arsenal in today’s edition of the newspaper. It’s said the 23-year-old ‘knows he has a price’ [€110m], and from England, Arsenal and other sides are keeping tabs on his situation at the Naples club.
Luciano Spalletti’s side take on Spezia in their final league tie, and the ex-Lille man wants to finish the campaign on a bright note. He has 18 goals and six assists to his name from all competitions this term.
The report states the Nigeria international ‘is in the shop window’ and his impressive displays have been noticed in England, where he is ‘liked by several clubs’.
Arsenal are among them.
Regarding the north London club, it’s claimed they ‘remain at the window’ for Osimhen. Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis has set a starting price at €110m and the report adds this figure is negotiable.
Mikel Arteta has Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah at his disposal and the two have contracts expiring on June 30th.
Even if one of them were to sign a new deal, it is likely that Arsenal would look to invest on a new striker in the summer window.
