Over the past couple of days, it appears that half the Premier League has turned their attention to Houssem Aouar.
Well, we say half, but in the last few days, Arsenal, who have been after him a while, Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United have all been linked with the player, albeit by the same source.
That’s Le10 Sport, who have yet another update on the Lyon playmaker’s future, and it involves the Gunners.
It’s not good news, however, as the outlet are reporting that Arsenal have told Lyon they will be ‘stopping there’ in their attempts to sign him, and have ‘put an end to talks’.
It was reported that Edu Gaspar and co. had made an offer for the player, but it was below the Ligue 1 side’s demands, being under €20m when they wanted somewhere between €20-25m.
Arsenal ‘won’t offer more than their first bid’, meaning they have all but pulled out from the race, unless Lyon change their mind down the line should they not receive anything better.
