Arsenal are one of several clubs showing an interest in highly-rated Danish youngster Zidan Sertdemir.
That’s according to SportBILD, relayed by 442.com, who say the Gunners are battling Bundesliga competition for the 16-year-old’s signature.
They explain that Sertdemir is one of the hottest prospects in Danish football at this moment in time, having impressed for FC Nordsjaelland’s U19 side after stepping up from their youth team in August last year.
The playmaker, who also has Turkish nationality, has earned himself plenty of attention in Europe, particularly in Germany.
Borussia Mönchengladbach have already put out their ‘feelers’ for the youngster and are said to ‘deal’ with the central midfielder.
They are not the only ones, though, with Bayer Leverkusen, Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim also showing an interest in taking him to Germany.
Ajax and Arsenal also ‘have the youngster on the list’, but Sertdemir is said to ‘dream’ of a move to Bundesliga at this moment in time.
Why that is the case isn’t mentioned, but it’s very likely to do with the plethora of young talent who have shone there in recent years.
That, then, is something for Arsenal to overcome if they are truly interested, with the competition already having an advantage in this potential pursuit.
