Arsenal remain ‘in pole position’ for Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus but may face competition from Juventus for his signature.
That’s according to Calciomercato.it, who report that the Italian side ‘continue to monitor’ the Brazilian striker.
They explain that while they are waiting for a definitive answer from Angel di Maria and an opening on the deal for Alvaro Morata, Juventus are continuing to look at other options to reinforce their attack.
Manchester City striker Jesus is one of the player’s on their list, and the player’s agent has decided to travel to Europe to discuss his client’s future.
That agent, Paulo Pitombeira, will arrive in Europe next week, and after a first stop in Lyon to discuss Thiago Mendes’ future, he is planning to fly to London to talk to Arsenal.
The Gunners remain in pole position for the Manchester City number nine and are ready to meet the player’s demands of €10m a season.
However, Juventus are ready to compete with Arsenal for Jesus’ signature, and the striker’s entourage are hoping for a call from them in the coming days.
They’re ready to offer €8m a year in wages, meaning their offer would be less than that on offer from the Emirates.
