AC Milan are eyeing a move for Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette as they draw up a list of options to bolster their attack.

That’s according to Calciomercato, who say Stefano Pioli wants another forward to bolster his current options.

While he is happy with Olivier Giroud, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Rafa Leao, the fact that Pietro Pellegri ‘needs time to adapt’ means they could do with another forward.

The club’s hierarchy are looking at ‘market opportunities’, particularly players whose contracts are expiring and can be secured on the cheap.

Arsenal’s Lacazette is one such player, with his deal set to expire next summer and the Gunners seemingly not interested in getting him signed up to a new one.

He’s reportedly been ‘offered’ to the Italian club, and he has a profile of experience and quality that could suit the club.

There is a rather ‘significant problem’ though, and that is his salary as he currently earns €9m a year in wages at Arsenal.

That’s ‘far too much’ for Milan, who have been working with a sustainable budget for two years, and their budget would be around €5m.

Thus, they’d have some serious negotiations to work through if they want Lacazette, whose suitors are seemingly lining up the more his Arsenal contract runs down.
