‘Objetivo 1.000 millones’ shout out Marca in their Wednesday edition.
Real Madrid need to raise money, but not quite €1bn. It’s explained that Florentino Perez has already brought in more than €730m in transfer fees during his time as president, and now he wants to get to that nice round figure.
Arsenal may be able to help him.
Marca have jumped on claims, which they say started in England, that the Gunners are ready to offer €50m for Dani Ceballos. And guess what? That’s just the amount Madrid are currently looking for.
Should the Gunners actually make the offer, and the player agree to the move, then it can happen.
There’s confidence that with Ceballos shining for Spain in the current Euro U21 championship, they shouldn’t have too much trouble finding someone to part with the money, which isn’t the case for some of the others Madrid hope to sell.
Given Arsenal’s budget this summer, it would take a big effort to reach the €50m, but the 22 year old could certainly be an investment for the future.
