It appears that the idea of Arsenal making a move for Victor Osimhen in the near future is gaining momentum in Italy.

We already covered a story from Gazzetta dello Sport on Thursday morning, and now Calciomercato back it up with an article of their own.

Looking at what could happen at Napoli in the coming weeks, which includes the future of Osimhen, who ‘still has to file some defects’, but also ‘knows how to be devastating’.

He’s a key player for Napoli, but they know clubs, like Arsenal, are circling, with the player recently commenting on the rumours on international duty.

His words didn’t exactly reassure his club, and there is ‘no certainty’ that he will remain in Italy beyond the summer if the right offer comes along.

It’s pointed out that ‘international clubs are on the move, especially Newcastle and Arsenal’, and ‘the sirens of the Premier League can be heard in the distance’.

That’s why Aurelio De Laurentiis has already set his price of €100m, which leads Calciomercato to believe that ‘presumably, Osimhen will stay at least another year in Naples’.

However, if someone comes close to that, it might force them to rethink things a little bit.
