Arsenal are keen on a move for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot and have already opened talks with the Italian club for a deal.
The Frenchman is widely expected to leave the Serie A side this summer, just a year after joining on a free transfer from PSG.
His first season at the club has not been a successful one, and their relationship has soured in recent weeks as a result of the Coronavirus epidemic.
Reports have indicated that the player is unhappy at being forced to take a wage cut, while Juve are displeased at his apparent lack of desire to return from isolation early.
A move has thus been mooted and Le 10 Sport report that Juventus have placed Rabiot on the transfer list ahead of the summer.
Several clubs are already interested and Arsenal are among them, having already followed him for several seasons.
They report that the Gunners are ‘very motivated’ by the idea of signing the midfielder and have already ‘launched hostilities’ ahead of a summer move.
The belief is that they could pair him with midfielder Mateo Guendouzi, with the two enjoying ‘highly similar profiles’.
Juventus, for their part, want a deal that will ‘exceed €30m’ and it remains to be seen whether Arsenal can afford such a price tag.
