Santiago Giménez’s impressive performances for Feyenoord has seen several clubs take notice, including Arsenal.
The striker was integral in helping the Dutch club win the title last season, managing 28 goals and three assists from 50 games. He has extended his fine form into this season, scoring 15 goals and registering three assists from 15 games.
From Italy, Inter Milan have shown keen interest in the 22-year-old, while AC Milan are vigilant to his situation. That’s according to TV Play, who say his performances have been driving Serie A sides crazy.
The Milan clubs would find it difficult to carry out a potential deal, due to the interest from the likes of Arsenal and other English clubs.
With regards to Mikel Arteta’s side, it’s claimed they are ‘more than interested’ in bringing the Mexico international to the Emirates, as early as January.
The outlet adds the player could find it ‘really difficult to say no’ to a move to the Premier League, if the Gunners were to knock on his door. Therefore, TV Play state any potential approach from the Italian clubs would likely be unsuccessful.
Apart from Arsenal, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are also tagged in the report.
Giménez’s deal is until 2027 and TV Play make no mention of the fee needed to convince Feyenoord to part ways with their star.
