Earlier this week, Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira expressed his wish to play for Arsenal in the future.
Speaking to the English press, following reports saying the Gunners would like to sign him, the player claimed he’d suit the London side’s game pretty well.
His quotes are of course doing the rounds in the Portuguese media today, and some outlets talk about the chances of this move happening.
Jornal de Notícias is one of those bringing stories about these chances, and they claim that Porto would demand at least €40m for his transfer.
A proof that the Dragons aren’t accepting low offers for Danilo is that back in the last summer, Monaco tried to sign the midfielder for €30m, and their bid was rejected by the Portuguese side.
Even though Arsenal were linked to the 28-year-old in the past, Jornal de Notícias doesn’t mention any recent efforts from the Gunners to sign Danilo.
He’s protected by a release clause of €60m.
