One of the latest big ideas of the Italian media has been the potential transfer of N’Golo Kanté to Inter.

The Chelsea midfielder hasn’t really been at his best under Frank Lampard, and niggling injuries have broken up his season.

Antonio Conte, who spent some time at Stamford Bridge, is a big fan of the Frenchman, and with a desire to bolster his squad to compete with Juventus next season for the Serie A title, the prospect of bringing Kanté to Italy has been brought up in the Inter offices.

We’ve had a couple of articles on it already, and Calciomercato bring their latest update on Wednesday, claiming that ‘with the right offer he can leave London’.

In fact, they go as far as saying the World Cup winner is ‘expendable’.

Having already spent a lot of money on both Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner while attempting to sign Kai Havertz, Chelsea will then need to sell, with Kanté capable of ‘bringing money in the bank’.

As things stand, ‘Inter have not made official moves’ for the defensive midfielder, but his name has ‘popped up’ in the discussions for Emerson Palmieri, meaning ‘negotiations in the coming weeks should not be excluded’.
