Arsenal and Manchester United are both said to be interested in the Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo.
According to Tuttosport today, José Mourinho and Arsène Wenger have been following the player’s improvement over the past few months and are candidates to try to take the player from Inter in the future.
But the Italian club’s board would be prepared to fight against the approaches, as they plan to offer the player an extension soon.
Since Murillo’s current deal expires in 2018, Inter want to move as quick as possible so they can give him a new contract before feeling any pressure to sell him to the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal with only one year left on it.
It’s been a while since Murillo started being linked to English clubs, especially to Arsenal. But other sides such as Chelsea and Manchester City have been mentioned in these rumours as well.
The latter were even reported to have made a loan offer in January, seemingly trying to get one up on both Manchester United and Arsenal in the process.
