Arsenal’s Pablo Mari is back on the training pitch at his loan club Monza.

The player announced on Twitter that he’s now training with the Serie A side’s squad, explaining he’s taking his recovery ‘step by step’ until he gets to feature in Serie A again.

In late October, Mari was stabbed in a supermarket in Italy during a random attack. The defender was taken to hospital conscious and not in a serious condition. Still, he had to go through surgery, and that’s why he stayed out of the squad for a while, besides the obvious psychological trauma he had just gone through.

Mari is loaned by Arsenal to Monza until the end of the season, and according to reports from Italy, the agreement includes an obligatory buying option for the Italian side in case they manage to stay in Serie A. They’re currently in 14th position, so as things stand, the Gunners will be able to cash in with his sale soon.
