Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has hailed boss Mikel Arteta, saying the Spaniard has changed everyone’s mentality at the club.
The Gunners are currently on a fine run of form that has seen them competing at the top of the table and for a place in the Champions League next season.
With 28 games gone, they sit fourth in the table and only five points behind Chelsea in third, while they are three points ahead of Tottenham in fifth with, a game in hand to boot.
There is growing confidence they will be back in Europe’s top competition next season, and Arteta is being given the praise for that.
He arrived in December 2020 and, after a rocky start that had many questioning him, has turned things around at the club.
Arsenal are now very much on his side, with the development shown by players at the club and the style of football they are currently playing both big factors in his favour.
Lacazette is one of the senior players in the squad, and it seems, like the youngsters, he is more than impressed by what he has seen from the Arsenal boss.
“We are focused on being in the top four,” Mundo Deportivo report him saying.
“We want to get the team into the Champions League next season. We work for it all week, and at the moment, it’s working.
“We want to continue like this, working hard every day to play well at the weekend.
“Arteta is the leader, the boss, even the boss of the club. Since he arrived, a lot of things have changed, including everyone’s mentality… It’s all about him.”
