Samuel Umtiti has struggled with injury problems since he returned to Barcelona after winning the World Cup with France in 2018.
Over a week ago, we covered claims from AS the Catalan club have started telling potential bidders they are ready to listen to offers for the centre-back.
Arsenal were named as a suitor, but the north London club had worries over his right knee, which has caused concerns on numerous occasions in the past two years.
Sport on Friday claims three Premier League sides have contacted the 26-year-old’s environment and so far, the Gunners are included in the list of ‘most interested clubs’ in the Frenchman. Barca, however, have not received an official proposal for the player.
The La Liga winners are of the belief that Umtiti has put his injury woes behind him (because he’s featured regularly in 2020) and everything indicates he will change clubs.
In addition to this, Barcelona are hoping of ‘making a good transfer’ by allowing him leave in the summer.
Barcelona were earlier hoping to cash in €50m from Umtiti’s sale, but are now aware it will be difficult to reach that figure.
They are looking for the ‘right offer’ to let the central defender leave, but there’s no mention as to what will be deemed as a ‘fair offer’.
Whether Arsenal are ready to submit the ‘right offer’ for Umtiti remains to be seen.
