In news that is unlikely to shock many Arsenal fans considering his rather public insistence (most of the time) of preferring to stay in England, Olivier Giroud could stay at the Emirates for at least another season.

Le10 Sport are the ones with the ‘exclusive’ on Wednesday, explaining the player is currently going along as if he will be a Gunner next season rather than actively looking for a transfer.

While Marseille are said to still be after him, Giroud’s reluctance to return to France is a big problem and Borussia Dortmund’s apparent interest is allegedly waning, what with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang staying and all that.

To be honest, it sounds very much like a lack of decent offers is the reason behind this change of mind, if true, rather than him wanting to fight for a spot with new record signing Alexandre Lacazette and Alexis Sanchez for 2017/18.

There’s still time, however, and, as we all know, things can happen very quickly in the transfer market, so if the right offer comes along, Giroud could easily change his mind once again.
