Arsenal have ‘enquired’ about Bologna youngster Aaron Hickey following his good performances for the Italian side this season.
That’s according to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, relayed by Viola News, who say the Gunners are one of several sides to have shown an interest in the Scotsman.
The left-back is enjoying arguably his best season in Italy since moving to Bologna from Hearts in 2020, with five assists and one goal in 32 games in Serie A this season.
This has earned him plenty of attention, particularly from inside Italy, where Napoli are ‘serious’ about signing him this summer.
Arsenal, as well as Newcastle, West Ham and then AC Milan, Juventus and Fiorentina have all ‘enquired’ about signing the left-back as well.
If they are serious about a move, they will have to pay €20m, with that the price Bologna have put on their man ahead of the summer.
That would be a considerable price for Arsenal, considering they have other areas they need to bolster and already have Kieran Tierney and Nuno Tavares in their squad.
Still, the interest is reportedly there nonetheless, so it’ll be worth keeping an eye on Hickey’s name moving forwards.
