Philippe Coutinho continues to be linked with clubs in England, and Arsenal became the latest side to join the transfer chase.
On May 26th, Sport reported the Gunners have initiated contact with his agent Kia Joorabchian.
Le10 Sport have now come up with a latest update.
It’s claimed the Premier League side ‘dream’ of signing the 27-year-old as Mikel Arteta is of the belief the Brazilian would be perfect for his side.
The contacts between Arsenal and Joorabchian once again get a mention and the report adds it started from the ‘beginning of May’. However, this wasn’t the first contact between the two parties.
Arteta’s side have been thinking of the former Liverpool man for ‘several months’ and they first contacted his representative at the end of 2019. It was to understand the possibility of signing Coutinho this summer.
The signing is a ‘more than serious track for Arsenal’ and the Emirates club will have to find the best option to make the dream of signing the player into a reality.
It won’t be simple because of the numbers involved in the operation, but Arsenal’s leaders are working hard to ‘make a difference’.
Le10 also adds Chelsea are ‘very hot’ for Coutinho and they would have better financial means than Arsenal to sign the South American.
