On May 9th, Het Laatste Nieuws reported that Thomas Meunier has received a call from José Mourinho as Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the right-back.

The Belgium international’s contract at Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of June and Le10 Sport claims he will not continue with the Ligue 1 winners.

According to the same outlet, Liverpool have now joined the race for the 28-year-old and the Reds ‘recently contacted’ the former Club Brugge man.

Borussia Dortmund are also interested in taking the defender and there were claims that he could be heading towards the Bundesliga club in the summer. This happened before the Merseyside club entered reports.

It’s claimed that Liverpool are interested in the possibility of signing the PSG defender on a free transfer.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is Jürgen Klopp’s first choice right-back at Anfield and if Meunier decides to join the Premier League side, he will have to fight with the 21-year-old for a place in the starting lineup.

Le10 further adds that Napoli are also interested in the fullback, but there’s no mention what Meunier’s preference is when deciding his next destination.
