French newspaper L’Equipe report on Christmas Eve that Olivier Giroud hasn’t had the best of news as a present this festive season.
With Arsene Wenger expecting the striker to be out for a few weeks, the manager has also received a blow with it now being stated there’ll be no return before February.
L’Equipe state Giroud is out for Arsenal for six weeks with a hamstring tear, and the French newspaper believe he’ll therefore miss ten games for the Premier League club, given the busy schedule over Christmas and New Year.
Not only does it provide a blow to Arsenal, it also makes a January move even more doubtful. Giroud has been encouraged into considering an Arsenal exit by Didier 
Deschamps’ coaching team, to make sure he’s ready for the World Cup.
