Dagbladet have reported Norwegian Leeds United fan Terje Hansen has cancelled Christmas with his family so he can watch the Championship side.

The 56 year old recently celebrated watching his 200th consecutive match watching Leeds United when they took on Norwich City last week.

The Norwegian newspaper have reported on Hansen’s love for Leeds United, which started in 1976, when the English club played a friendly against Viking FK.

Since then Hansen has been making regular trips to England to watch the Elland Road club, and he’ll be in attendance for the games over the Christmas period.

Asked by Dagbladet why he chose to follow Leeds United so much over other Norwegian pastimes, the super-fan explained: “Some have animals, cabins, boats, cars. I have my club. So no, this is my life.”

Leeds United take on Burton Albion and Birmingham City in the next week as they look to consolidate their place in the play off spots.

Today’s 1-0 victory over Hull city moved Thomas Christiansen’s side up to 5th place in the Championship table, and they’ll be confident going into the final two games of 2017.

And if you’re a Leeds fan who happens to spot Terje over Christmas, ‘God Jul’ is the way to spread seasonal cheer in Norwegian.
