Arsenal and Chelsea are among the clubs in the picture to sign RB Leipzig star Dani Olmo, according to Mundo Deportivo.
On Wednesday, SportBild stated the attacking midfielder could leave next summer and they only mentioned Barcelona as a candidate.
Mundo have relayed SportBild’s claim and then add that apart from the La Liga side, there are several clubs that ‘want him’ and this is when Arsenal and Chelsea are named.
It’s claimed the Premier League duo, along with Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid, are ‘attentive’ to the 25-year-old’s situation.
The Spain international wasn’t thinking of leaving Leipzig when he signed a new deal in June but ‘different circumstances’ have led him to change his stance.
Olmo would consider a move back to Barca, where he’s wanted by Xavi Hernández. At the same time, the report states he is ‘not closing any doors’, giving hope to the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.
With regards to the Gunners, it’s claimed Mikel Arteta is ‘very aware’ of his compatriot.
It needs to be seen whether Arsenal and the Blues can compete with the La Liga giants to sign the Spaniard next summer.
Mundo say his €60m clause is ‘not prohibitive’ for the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.
