Arsenal are among those ‘most interested’ in Anderlecht’s Albert Sambi Lokonga, with the Belgian side eyeing a €20m deal.
That’s according to Sudinfo, who say Vincent Kompany’s side have already identified a replacement for the midfielder.
They explain that Anderlecht are eyeing a move for Argentinian Fausto Vera, with negotiations already underway between all parties.
Some are even claiming those talks are well advanced, and should a move be confirmed; it would confirm that Lokonga is ‘likely to leave in the next few weeks’.
He’s been heavily linked with Arsenal over the last few weeks, with it even claimed that Thierry Henry was busy promoting the 21-year-old to his former club. In fact, he has reportedly convinced them into a move.
Sudinfo back those claims up somewhat and state that Arsenal are among the ‘most interested’ in him, alongside Monaco, Sevilla and Bayer Leverkusen.
Anderlecht’s management are open to a sale and ‘hope to pocket’ at least €20m in any potential deal.
Whether any of the interested parties will pay that is still unclear, but the price is there, and Anderlecht’s move for a replacement suggests Lokonga will be on the move this summer.
