The idea that Manchester United want Raphaël Varane this summer refuses to go away from Spain, and some continue to push it ferociously.

One of those are El Chiringuito, who are at it again on Thursday, looking at the situation surrounding the France international, currently with his national team ahead of the Euros.

Speaking in their usual round table format, jumping over each other to try and get a word in, the panel bring us some information of their own, and claim the Real Madrid player has received offers from at least two Premier League clubs: Manchester United and Chelsea.

Much like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Thomas Tuchel is on the lookout for a new centre-back, and it isn’t surprising for two Champions League teams to be looking at the same candidate.

Either way, Josep Pedrerol is very clear on the defender and what will happen: “Varane will be sold this summer.”

He then goes onto state that both Chelsea and Manchester United have come forward with their offers, and Real Madrid ‘hope to get around €60m’ from a sale.

They then go on by explaining that his value on Transfermarkt is €70m or thereabouts, but it appears the La Liga side are prepared to get a bit less than that estimate, likely because he only has one year left on his current deal.

Either way, the bottom line is, Real Madrid seem convinced they will lose the French defender this summer, but the big question of who to remains.

Judging by this latest outing, it’s likely to be a club in the Premier League, and one of either Manchester United or Chelsea.
