Schalke’s Assan Ouédraogo has ended up on Arsenal’s transfer radar, according to a report.
The 17-year-old is a product of the German club’s academy and was promoted to the senior team earlier this year. He has been a regular this season, making 11 appearances, managing a goal and an assist in the process.
Ouédraogo has managed to attract the attention of several clubs and Arsenal are added to the list. That’s according to journalist Gianluigi Longari, who mentioned the Gunners in his column for Sportitalia.
He claims AC Milan are working with confidence to try to secure the midfielder’s services.
The Rossoneri are ‘well positioned’ for a potential deal but there’s ‘certainly no shortage of competition’ to sign him. This is when Inter Milan, RB Leipzig, Arsenal, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all mentioned.
Longari claims the Germany U17 international was observed by Gunners scouts, the La Liga duo and Leipzig in recent weeks, and it’s claimed that these clubs have ‘always been very attentive’ to Ouédraogo.
Last week, Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg stated Ouédraogo’s entourage has held talks with several clubs, including Liverpool, Eintracht Frankfurt, Leipzig, Bayern Munich, Milan and Napoli.
