It seems that no matter what time of the year it is, there will always be a Hector Bellerin to Barcelona rumour.
On Monday, the one given to us by TuttoMercatoWeb isn’t a ‘direct’ rumour, but the Italian website claim Arsenal are preparing for the Spaniard’s potential exit, and have targeted a suitable replacement.
The man in question is said to be Udinese’s Silvan Widmer, with both Arsène Wenger and new director of football Raul Sanllehi agreeing on his ability.
TuttoMercatoWeb state the information comes from the Italian end of the story, suggesting Udinese are well aware of this interest, with potential probes already sent by the Gunners about the 24-year-old.
Injured for the first ten games or so of the season, the right-back, who can also play further up the pitch when aligned in a three at the back formation, has now returned to the starting line up, helping Udinese get two wins from their last two games.
Before this gets serious, however, Hector Bellerin would need to leave, and that doesn’t seem like something that’s going to happen anytime before next summer.
