Atlético Madrid are keen on a move for Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette this summer and could use Thomas Lemar as a bargaining chip to get the striker.
That’s according to AS, who say a ‘barter’ between the two clubs could see them do a deal involving both players.
The newspaper explains that Lacazette is one of the players that ‘most interest’ Atlético this summer as they look to reinforce their forward line for next season.
He is ‘very liked’ by the club’s coaches, who are ‘attentive’ to what might happen with him given his future at Arsenal is unclear.
The Gunners are already listening to offers for the 28-year-old and, while Atlético are ‘on the horizon’, the Madrid club’s economic situation means they can’t really afford a big spend.
Arsenal are aware of this, and one of the ‘formulas’ that would please all parties is a ‘barter’ that would see Lemar head to the Emirates.
They are keen on the Frenchman, despite his disappointing performances in Spain, and the idea would be to swap them, with AS saying it’s currently an ‘important option’ for both clubs.
